March 27, 2011 The seven members of Team USA from NJ left from Newark Airport (NJ) to go to San Diego to Training Camp for the World Games. We will be in San Diego until Thursday. I am looking forward to meeting my aquatics Coach, Coach Phil and I am feeling a little nervous about the trip.
Here is a picture of the team at Newark Airport. Lillian Navarez, Vice President of Sports for Special Olympics, NJ is in front. She is taking our team to and from San Diego. Thank you Lillian!
I caught a cold on Friday. I am coughing and don't feel my best. I hope I get better so I can swim in San Diego.

Countdown to Training Camp
I am very excited about training camp and a litle scared. I leave on Sunday, March 27th and fly out of Newark for San Diego. I am going to meet my coaches and teammates for the first time.I am swimming on Monday, Tuesday, and Wednesday. I come home on Thursday, March 31st.
I am going to be very busy in San Diego. On Sunday I will go to opening ceremonies and a Hawaiian party. I am supposed to bring a Hawaiian shirt to wear. My first day of swimming is Monday. I am swimming at San Diego State University Aqautic Center. I want to inprove my flip turns.
On Tuesday we are going to a baseball game at SDSU and having our team pictures taken. Swimming on Wednesday. On my last night we will have a Greek party. I am bringing a white sheet and sandals to dress as a Greek god.
I am too tired to write any more on my blog tonight. I will write more on Thursday.

CAN DO Fitness is hosting a 3 hour challenge! On April 9th volunteers will bike for 3 hours to raise money for Special Olympics NJ. So far they have raised $15,548:)
A photographer is going to take my picture swimming at the RWJ pool. Then, they're going to decorate the spin room with my picture and the picture of other athletes.
